  • Winter Band Concert — Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble and Orchestra will all perform in the Winter Concert on the evening of Monday, December 8, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the MPHS auditorium. Call time for students is 5:30.
  • Concert Volunteers Needed — Our parent volunteers who signed up to help with concessions on Monday now have schedule conflict and are not able to be there. We could use one parents of a Symphonic Band Student and one parent of a Wind Ensemble Student to each take a shift, that way no parent needs to miss their son or daughter’s performance. You do not need to be a cleared volunteer to help us with concessions during the concert. If you are willing to help out, send an email to the Band Boosters.
  • Donations Requested — The band boosters will be selling concessions before the concert and during the intermission. We would welcome donations of candy to add to our inventory. The variety packs of candy bars and M&Ms that are available from Costco or Sam’s Club are popular. If you would like to donate a box, just bring it to the concert and give it to one of the Booster Officers or parent volunteers at the concession table.
  • December Booster Meeting — The final Booster Meeting of the semester will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 6 p.m. in the band room. This is an important meeting as we will be taking nominations for the 2015 Booster Board in preparation for the elections to be held during the January meeting. (Contact Brenda Kaiser or a member of the current Executive Board if you are interested in putting your name in the hat for a board position.) An update on the proposed trip to Hollywood, information about the ABODA Regional Auditions that take place in January and a recap of our November fundraising efforts will be on the agenda as well.
  • Arizona Tax Credit Program — The deadline for submitting your Arizona Tax Credit form for the 2014 tax year is fast approaching. For basic facts about the tax credit and a link to download the form, visit AZ Tax Credit on the Booster website. Links to sites with more detailed information for the program are located at the bottom of the page.
We look forward to seeing you at the Winder Concert!
