Dear Booster Parents,

You can be very proud of the Lionhearts. Your children behaved professionally and courteously during the trip and still managed to have a terrific time. The kids are really coming together as a team and the weekend was a wonderful kick-off to what will be a fun marching season.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the families who traveled to Las Vegas to support the band at the football game at Bishop Gorman. The kids really appreciated having so many of you in the stands clapping during the many, many times they played the fight song.

I would also like to give a HUGE shout out to our chaperone parents who traveled to Las Vegas to help us keep track of our band students. In particular, Greg and Holly Johnson and Melissa and Carey Dietz and my VP Patsy Adlam who all gave up nice rooms at other hotels to stay in the very non-glamorous, no-frills rooms at Palace Station.

Thank you also to Ian and Teri Grieve and Jeff and Deidre Jinks who traveled to support the band and jumped in to help out with loading and unloading the equipment truck and moving the pit instruments on and off the field at halftime. Your help is truly appreciated.

We meant to have the booster show shirts available for pick-up on Sunday, but after a very long and busy weekend, the timing did not quite work out. The shirts will be available for pick-up or to send home with your students after practice on Tuesday this week.
